What do you know about medieval painting? Of course, many skilled craftsmen were keen on her at these times. Here is one of Dürer’s interesting paintings, “Adam and Eve,” which has enough fans from all over the world. So, probably, it is worth getting acquainted with this work of art a little closer to find out why it so attracted true lovers of all that is beautiful.

To begin with, it is worth talking about the fact that the artist decided to depict his work in a very non-standard way. After all, we see not one picture, but two large boards, or engravings. The painting was done in oil. The dimensions of such engravings took up a lot of space, they were about two hundred meters high, and about eighty wide.

It is known that this art was placed in the Prado National Museum. Initially, this engraving was based on copper. The fate of the picture was such that it was written for the altar, which never reached its final painting. It is worth noting that the plot of this creation is clearly in the spirit of antiquity. After all, the artist managed to draw inspiration through trips to Italy. Therefore, in the picture we see completely naked people, and it is important to note that the smallest details and the characters themselves are depicted in full size. After all, we all know that Adam and Eve are the first people who came down to earth and gave life on earth.

According to biblical scripture, Adam and Eve were completely different, so their images are sealed on each engraving separately. But this does not prevent them from being a single whole. If you look closely, you can see how Adam holds the branch from the apple tree with three fingers, and Eve holds the very apple that served as the discord and expulsion to the promised land. Near this fruit, a serpent hangs slowly from a tree branch, which just decided to push people to such a crime. On the other hand, you will see a plate on which the author is written and the time of writing this picture.
